Hey, what’s up? I’m here to tell you about my experience
with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most expensive and hyped-up phone from Apple.
You might think it’s the best thing ever, but guess what? There are 10 things that my old Samsung Note 10+ can do easily straight out of the box that this iPhone can’t handle without extra apps or hassle. Here they are:
1. Choose which cloud service to use when adding a new contact.

Sure, Apple lets you sync your contacts with other services like Google, but you have to stick with one option for all your contacts. With my Samsung, I could pick which service to use every time I added a new contact.
2. See more than 100 entries in my call history.
This is ridiculous. Apple limits your call history to 100 entries, no matter how much storage you have. My Samsung had no such limit and I could see all my calls from months ago. Why does Apple do this? It makes no sense.
3. Access clipboard history when pasting text.

This is a bigĀ one for me as a blogger and content creator. Sometimes I need to copy multiple things from different sources and paste them in one place. With my Samsung, I could do that easily by accessing the clipboard history and choosing what I
wanted to paste. With the iPhone, I have to go back and forth between apps and copy one thing at a time. It’s so annoying and time-consuming.
4. Track my data usage during a billing cycle.
This is another basic feature that Apple doesn’t have. With my Samsung, I could set a data limit and a billing cycle and see how much data I used and how much I had left. With the iPhone, I have to manually reset the data usage every month and
keep track of it myself. That’s not very smart for a smartphone.
5. Get SMS delivery reports for non-iMessage contacts.
Apple only gives you delivery reports for iMessage contacts, which is not very helpful if you text people who don’t use iPhones. With my Samsung, I could get delivery reports for any SMS contact, regardless of their phone or service provider. That way, I knew if they got my message or not.
6. Use speed dial in the phone app.
The iPhone doesn’t have speed dial, which is a shame because it’s very convenient when you need to call someone quickly. The iPhone has favorites, but they are not the same as speed dial. You have to open the phone app, tap on favorites, and then tap on the
contact you want to call. With my Samsung, I could assign a number to any contact and just press and hold that number on the keypad to call them instantly.
7. Feel haptic feedback when starting or ending calls.
This is a minor thing, but it makes a difference in user experience. The iPhone doesn’t vibrate when you start or end a call, so you don’t know for sure if the call is connected or disconnected unless you look at the screen or hear a
sound. With my Samsung, I could feel a subtle vibration when the call started or ended, which gave me a confirmation without distracting me.
8. See if the person I’m calling is on waiting or not.
The iPhone doesn’t show you if the person you’re calling is on another call or not, so you might end up calling them repeatedly while they are busy talking to someone else. With my Samsung, I could see if they were on waiting or not, and
decide whether to wait for them or hang up.
9. Choose which cloud service to use for backing up WhatsApp

chats. The iPhone only lets you backup your WhatsApp chats to iCloud, which means you have to pay for extra storage if you have a lot of chats or media files. With my Samsung, I could choose which cloud service to use for backing
up WhatsApp, such as Google Drive or OneDrive, and save money and space.
10. Access the file system freely for any type of file.
The iPhone has a very closed file system that only lets you access media files like photos or videos. You can’t access other types of files like documents or zip files unless you use third-party apps or services. With my Samsung, I could
access any file on my phone or SD card using the built-in file manager or any other app I wanted and easily transfer it from/to my PC.
Dishonorable mention: iPhone till now does not support a pencil stylus and although I can understand that Apple want their
clients believe that the phone is very small device to use a pen on it, it was charming to use my Note pen to type small notes and numbers while on the phone with clients and use the pen as remote for my camera.
So there you have it: 10 things that the iPhone 14 Pro Max can’t do that my old Samsung Note 10+ can do without breaking a sweat. I’m not saying that the iPhone is a bad phone, but it’s definitely not worth the hype
or the price tag in my opinion. If you’re looking for a phone that can do more than just take good pictures and videos, you might want to look elsewhere.
